DIC welcomes LIA members

The LIA members, who were taken around the factory in four groups, were given a rundown on the manufacturer’s capabilities, which exports more than half of its products to the Asia Pacific region.

DIC’s export strength was positive news for the attending printers, as the ink maker is one of the few remaining facilities within Australia producing a wide variety of printing inks that include heatset, coldset, solvent flexo and solvent based gravure, as well as a blending facility for Sheetfed Litho.

David Wells, president of LIA NSW, says he was delighted with the attendance of the event, and commended the companies who sent along the younger members of their team, in order to give them access to a behind the scenes view of a major industry player.

The tour was wrapped up with a a Chinese banquet at the Auburn Tennis and Recreation Club, close by the DIC site.
