DirectSmile shows software at Ipex

The company’s new Card & Gift Shop software is aimed at online sales of image personalised printed products to private customers. It includes an online storefront, image personalisation and VDP. Users can prepare documents, create personalised images, generate previews, process orders – including payment – and print the ordered items. Applications include photo-products, cards, calendars, mugs, t-shirts, mouse mats and other personalised gift items.

DirectSmile says its cross media solution combines media across print, SMS, email and URL websites, providing everything required for successful, targeted, interactive and measurable marketing campaigns, according to the company.

It ran its VDP Studio at Ipex, which enables the creation of documents with rule-driven variable content, facilitating the output of print files in one data stream. DirectSmile says it has extended the product‘s capabilities to include VB Scripting, an output driver package for compatibility with any digital press and controller in PDF, PPML and JLYT formats, and the facility to generate and incorporate barcodes.
