Diversify print with new mail inserter

Small a medium printers diversify their revenue stream by using the new Pitney Bowes Relay Inserter system to add mail services to their business. Using the latest barcode technology, the inserter can enhance transactional communications like bills and statements while keeping client data private and meeting growing regulatory requirements and complexity.

Patrick Brand, general manager, global small and medium business (SMB) products and strategy at Pitney Bowes, says businesses spend billions of dollars annually to protect client data, both in physical and digital formats. Brand says, “When it comes to sensitive client data in the mail, the same high level of privacy protection was exclusive to large, enterprise mailers. “When you consider the millions of cheques, bank statements, insurance notices, healthcare records and other sensitive documents mailed every day, businesses of all sizes need to apply the highest levels of privacy safeguards possible.” Bowes says the new Relay inserters offer three privacy grades, including 2D Direct Scan; 2D Exit Scanning; and 2D File Base Processing, which Pitney Bowes invented, which is the industry standard for ensuring client data protection worldwide. Brand says, “SMBs must process transactional and information-based communications in a way that will protect the privacy of their customers, comply with growing regulations governing disclosures and legal notices, protect their brand and maintain and improve customer relationships. “Small and medium size businesses do not use technology to satisfy data security and compliance requirements for transactional communications for a few reasons – cost, difficulty of implementation and lack of IT support. Instead they default to highly manual, time consuming and costly processes for their mission-critical transactional documents. He says Pitney Bowes is addressing the market gap and are trying to change it with innovative solutions such as the Relay Inserter.
