Don’t miss the JPE and LIA’s industry review night

For its industry review night on 3 April, the Junior Printing Executives Association (JPE) is co-hosting the event with Lithographic Institute of Australia (LIA) and hopes to also attract senior owners, managers and executives.

The two speakers will be Chris Caton, BT Financial Group’s chief economist, and Hagop Tchamkertenian, the Printing Industries Association of Australia’s national manager for policy and government affairs.

“Entertaining economist” Caton will speak about the economy and give his tips for the coming months, JPE life member Franca Balsamo told ProPrint. She said Caton, who had been speaking at the annual event for the last decade, was always “spot on” with his analysis.

Tchamkertenian said he would “focus on how printing businesses can migrate towards more economically sustainable business models” while also “outlining the latest printing industry trends”.

Balsamo said the involvement of both JPE and the LIA should boost numbers. Up to 50 people are expected, she added.

Last year’s event attracted management from CPI, Lindsay Yates Group, Offset Alpine and Prografica.

The function will be held at Club Five Dock from 6.15pm. The cost is $70 for members and $80 for non-members. Attendees must RSVP by 30 March. Phone Mark Tolentino on 8789 7388 for more information.
