DSL to make major announcement at Interpack

The Australian manufacturer of Schütz intermediate bulk containers has confirmed that a licence agreement for the South East Asia region has now been awarded to DSL by Schütz headquarters in Germany.

Managing director of DSL Packaging, Steve Johnston, says that the official announcement oif the company’s move into South East Asia follows “a dramatic rise in IBC exports to the region”. Full details of the expansion will be announced shortly.

“We are aware that many customers from the Asia Pacific region will be attending Interpack, and we feel it is the perfect opportunity to unveil our future commitment to the region at this time”, he says.

“A team from DSL Packaging will therefore be available on the Schütz stand, to meet as many customers from Australia and South East Asia as possible”, he adds.

DSL has enjoyed continued success in the growing IBC market since opening its purpose-built plant in Laverton, North Melbourne, three years ago.

Today, the company has four branches operating across Australia as well as in Auckland, New Zealand and Jakarta, Indonesia.

Johnston believes that the company’s growth has coincided with the market’s readiness to embrace a more efficient form of mini bulk packaging, “such as those offered by the range of Schütz IBCs”.

Johnston says, “South East Asia will be an exciting venture for DSL Packaging, and meeting representatives from this region who may be attending Interpack is obviously one of the first steps for us to make”.

“A very warm invitation is extended to anyone visiting Interpack from Australia or South East Asia, to come and meet us for refreshments on the Schütz stand, which is set to be one of the largest and most impressive at the show”.

The Schütz stand, D21/E21 will be located at Interpack in Hall 10. The show runs from April 21 to 27 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
