Durst Oceania has confirmed the appointment of former Mimaki sales manager, John Bryson, as sales manager for the Vanguard portfolio in Australia.

Bryson fills the vacant position left by Dan Mantel, who was recently promoted from business development manager to sales manager for Durst Oceania.

Durst Oceania launched the Vanguard range of printers earlier this year during the FESPA Printing Expo in Amsterdam.

“We welcome our new Vanguard sales manager, John Bryson. We are very happy to have him on board,” said Durst Oceania managing director, Matt Ashman.

“John will look after the Vanguard Digital Printing Systems range in Australia and he will be with us at the Printing United Alliance in Las Vegas.

“John has immense experience in the industry and is very well known and respected. His strong network of contacts and relationships complement the target demographics for Vanguard in the local market.

“Since the launch of Vanguard earlier this year, the interest has been much highly than originally anticipated demonstrating a strong appetite for the next generation of fixed bed printers.

“Our sixth generation technology has proven to be a runaway success in North America, with over 1000 sales and these products are proving to have the same appeal in the markets managed by Durst Oceania.

“Vanguard appeals to a broader and more diverse customer base than Durst has traditionally appealed to with a product range that suits all budgets and business sizes from modest to high volumes.

“At Printing United, we will introduce our latest innovations from the Vanguard business and we look forward having John on the exhibition booth welcoming customers from throughout the Oceania region,” Ashman said.
