Durst providing free-of-charge printing tests

Durst has developed an online database with over 1500 tested roll media, available to its customers free of charge.

The industrial inkjet applications specialist is allowing customers to test their printing materials and designs in their Italian demo centre, customers will access the database over the internet, make their selections and download the required data as a PDF file.

According to Durst this solution also lets customers start production more quickly, and eliminates the need for long sampling processes.

Durst product manager of Roll-to-Roll Printing Fabian Sottsas says the material tests will constitute an incentive for customers to opt for durst.

“They know that we will not leave them alone when faced with the daily challenges of the production process,” he says.

“With the new database we share our collective knowledge with our customers and provide them with a powerful tool.”

Durst has nicknamed its new database ‘Ask Hubi’ which pays homage to technical head of the media sampling department Hubert Fischer.
