Dutch online print franchise arrives down under

Global online printing franchise Happyprinting has kicked off its operation in Australia and New Zealand with the signing of a partnership agreement with SMP Solutions.

The global online printing franchise company began in 2017.

“There is a great personal and cultural fit with the people of SMP Solutions. We both see great potential to make ordering print disruptively easy, down under”, Happyprinting co-founder and CTO, Jean-Pierre Meijer, said in a statement.

Simon Murray chief executive officer of SMP Solutions says there is huge value in his company joining forces with Happyprinting.

“I am excited to be part of the Happyprinting team. These guys created a cutting edge online printing platform and a lovely brand. There is huge value in joining the global Happyprinting network, sharing knowledge and technology. It allows us to act fast and run an efficient online printing business in both Australia and New Zealand”, Murray said.

Happyprinting co-founder and chief executive officer Sven Rusticus says the print industry in Australia and New Zealand represent a market size of respectively $8b and $1b per year.

He also says ordering via the internet is relatively underdeveloped, while e-commerce logistics performances are reliable and internet penetration is high.

“There is a tremendous opportunity in those markets”, Rusticus said.

Happyprinting launched in The Netherlands in 2017 and recently signed a partnership deal with with Yon-Art Printing in South Korea.

“This is only the start of our international adventure. We are now talking to printing partners in more than twenty countries and the fact that we have registered over fifty country domain names represents our global ambition,” Rusticus said.

Happyprinting is a global online printing franchise company that works with local printing partners worldwide. The company says it can optimise existing printing capacity, minimise transportation and lower the general carbon footprint of print.

Printing companies worldwide can use its online printing solution, in combination with the full Happyprinting branding and marketing package. Happyprinting’s vision is to create a global network of printers, based on one brand, one platform, and local printing partners.
