EFI launches new wide-format challenger

The machine offers very fast throughput rates, low ink consumption and the “true versatility of a hybrid solution”, according to EFI.

Designed to work with flat-sheet and roll-fed materials, it features an eight-colour inkset with options for white and special colours, and can process up to 100 boards per hour, or 50 boards per hour in POP mode (600dpi binary print mode). In roll-to-roll printing at 600pi, the HS100 Pro can output 334m2 per hour.

The wide-format printer is equipped with “true grayscale head technology” capable of producing 0-36picolitre drop sizes and can handle flexible or rigid substrates up to 3.2 meters wide and up to 51mm thick.

Key to the Vutek HS100 Pro is its ink technology, plus the combination of LED pin curing and conventional mercury arc lamps to provide precision, artefact-free droplet placement on all materials, even at high speeds.
