EFI textile printer receives accolades

EFI has been presented with the Best Roll-to-Roll textile print technology award for its textile printer Vutek FabriVU 180/340 at the 11th annual EDP awards ceremony during Fespa.

Paul Cripps, regional VP of sales at EFI says, "We are honoured with this recognition. It reinforces the remarkable amount of dedication and effort our research and development teams put into establishing a best-in-class technology to help our customers capture the remarkable growth seen in the soft signage market.”

EFI says its VUTEk FabriVU printers have proven to be especially successful in helping signage and display companies move into higher-value soft signage display work as it offers a combination of productivity and quality with fast speeds and printing resolutions up to 2,400 dpi.

EFI says the 1.8m FabriVU 180 and 3.4m FabriVU 340 models also offer the distinct advantage of printing on transfer paper or direct-to-fabric with the same inkset. That capability saves considerable labor and machine downtime compared to other printers when changing from transfer to direct applications, on top of the expense of discarded ink that is wasted when clearing ink lines.

FabriVU-printed graphics that can be washed and dried without wrinkling, folded without leaving marks and reused. The lighter weight and ability to fold fabric also significantly decreases shipping and storage costs as compared to more conventional signage.

The Vutek FabriVU 180/340 was on display at this year’s PacPrint in Melbourne.
