Epson updates Stylus Pro range

The two new machines, which come in 610mm and a 1,118mm widths, have a production speed of up to 40sqm per hour, and were unveiled at photographic exhibition Photokina in Köln.

An eight-colour inkset, which includes three blacks/greys, is said to produce a wide, smooth tonal range and a large colour gamut with no bronzing and reduced metamerism.

The new models also have the option to include the SpectroProofer spectrophotometer for calibration, profiling, and print quality verification.

Epson has also launched the Stylus Pro 4900, which adds the option of the SpectroProofer to the 432mm-wide machine.

The vendor said the 4900 is up to three times faster than its predecessor, the Stylus Pro 4880.

Epson Australia said the machine would be released through local dealers in November.
