Evans’ base remuneration of $900,000 per annum is for an initial term of four years with a one year option.

Evans has been with Fairfax for 12 years and prior to June this year was CEO of Fairfax New Zealand, where he was credited with improving revenue growth, cost reduction and restructuring, and developing a number of new business opportunities.

PMP chairman Graham Reaney says Evans’ experience in printing and marketing services, as well as his personal association with PMP’s main customer base will make him a valuable asset to the company.

“We warmly welcome Brian to PMP and look forward to him leading the company and completing the implementation of the partially completed profit improvement strategy,” says Reaney.

“The Board recognises the many beneficial changes that have occurred under David’s (Kirk) leadership, including the establishment of a clear strategic direction for the group and the appointment of a strong new management team to implement these strategies. We are confident Brian will successfully take PMP through the next important phase of the company’s growth.”

Evans says he is excited to join PMP at this critical time in the restructuring process. “I look forward to continuing the great work by David Kirk and his team, and growing PMP into Australia’s leading integrated provider of printing and marketing services.”

Evans will commence in his new role on Monday October 31 and Kirk, who resigned from PMP to head up Fairfax, will now leave PMP on Friday October 14.

As a result of Evans’ move to PMP, Kirk will assume direct responsibility for the Australian operations previously under the authority of Evans.
