Female printer named top graduate

A female printer from the country has been named Queensland's top graduate.

Sarah Glanville from Warwick firm Creed & Lang beat a field of screen printers, printing machinists and pre-press apprentices to the LIA-Heidelberg Queensland Graduate of the Year award.

The ceremony was held on 11 September at Ernest Restaurant in front of almost 70 guests, with Heidelberg's David Clifton presenting the award.

Prografica chief executive Kerim El Gabaili delivered the keynote speech. He encouraged graduates to look beyond production and see the deeper opportunities that exist from incorporating database management and variable data into printing projects.
