Finsbury’s new identity for green future

The company has renamed itself Finsbury Green Printing. For some time now the company has used Finsbury Green Printing as a brand name for its environmentally-friendly printing process.

Ernest Orel, Finsbury Green Printing managing director, says, “As you probably know Finsbury Green Printing has been one of our brands for some time, but we believe that after five years of diligent work our environmental credentials are now so strong that we can legitimately call everything we do ‘green’.”

To coincide with the official launch of the new name, the company is also releasing its first annual Environment Report, which the company is touting as an honest, fully audited account of our environmental activities.

“Finsbury Green Printing is the first printer in Australia to open itself to public scrutiny in such a way and we are happy to do it because we are proud of our achievements,” says Orel.

These achievements include becoming the first Australian printer to gain simultaneous accreditation of ISO14001 (Environmental Management Systems) and ISO9001:2000 (Quality Management Systems); being the only commercial printer in Australia to volunteer for the Federal Government’s Greenhouse Challenge to reduce greenhouse gas emissions; the first Australian printer to publish an audited Environmental Report on its own activities; and being a printing company that actively pursues a policy of reducing impacts by adopting green technologies, eco friendly products and devises new methods and processes.

“In recent years a clear trend has emerged in which companies are expected to be far more environmentally aware than ever before. Customers, shareholders and employees are all demanding the bar be lifted. And these expectations will only increase,” says Orel.

“Thanks to the work we have done, Finsbury Green Printing offers organisations a clear method of meeting these increasing demand, and very importantly there is no down-side.”
