First new Gallus digital label press on show

Label printers eager to check out the first inline digital label press produced under the Gallus-Heidelberg-Fujifilm partnership can fly to Switzerland in September for the Gallus Innovation Days to see it for themselves.

The Gallus St Gallen headquarters will host the global label community as it shows off its new generation of label presses on September 23-25.

Gallus says the inline digital hybrid ‘makes no compromises’ when it comes to print and register quality, process flexibility, and productivity, and aims to deliver quality print with short-run efficiency and solid personalisation.

Gallus Australia managing director James Rodden says Australian printers should go and see the demonstrations for themselves, with the new system expected to make its Australian debut next year.

“This will be an opportunity to see the latest from Gallus and it could be a game-changer for the label industry in general,” he says.

The company’s exhibition halls will include live demonstrations of all Gallus technology, including a Gallus RCS 330 featuring the new QuadTech colour control system, co-developed following the two companies’ recent partnership.

Also on show is the Gallus 340, which Riodden says can handle complex diecutting at top speeds , along with products from Gallus parts and services, and, its screen printing and folding carton divisions.

Rodden says the market has been waiting for a machine that can handle combination printing with inline diecutting in the one pass.

Partners of Gallus will also bring their latest products and services, and specialists will explore trends and technical developments in narrow-web label printing in an expert forum.
