Former Printing Industries GM passes away

Chizmesya leaves behind his wife Pam and children David and Mary Anne who said their father was an energetic man of great intellect, and was a mentor who valued hard work.

Following his retirement from Printing Industries in 2007 after 22 years, Philip Andersen, CEO of the Association said Chizmesya was one of the industry’s well known colourful characters.

According to Printing Industries, Chizmesya’s military career – which he completed with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel – was a well known characteristic of his management style which always guaranteed quality, accuracy and timeliness with everything he did.

He also received several community service decorations including investiture as a Knight of the Sovereign Order of St John of Jerusalem in 1993, and was appointed Knight Commander in 2005. He was also a Justice of the Peace.

Chizmesya was farewelled at the Heysen Chapel in Adelaide’s Centennial Park.
