Franklin Web launches Lithoman giant

Guests on the night were able to see the press accelerating to its top speed of more than 16 metres a second – or in Franklin terms, four million pages per hour – under the watchful eye of the Franklin press team.

Top production speed was reached in just minutes and was given a standing ovation from the gathered throng, most of whom took the opportunity to take a closer look at the machine which Franklin says elevates its already impressive catalogue production facility to “a new level” of quality and speed.

During the event, Steve Dunwell, managing director of manroland along with Phil Taylor, CEO of Franklin Web addressed the assembled guests. Dunwell outlined the impressive credentials of the machine, while Taylor took the audience through the decision making process leading up to the company’s most recent investment.

Also on the night, Franklin Web engaged the services of the Supercheap Auto Racing team– including race drivers Russell Ingalls and Jack Perkins, complete with two of the team’s super-fast V8 Supercars and even a couple of grid girls to add the obligatory glamour.

As the night drew to a close it was Franklin’s founder – the late Len Taylor’s who had the last word – with his son Phil recounting one of his favourite sayings, “Well done is better than well said.”
