Fuji Xerox launches 700 Digital Color Press

“The 700 Digital Color Press extends what is already the industry’s broadest portfolio of digital colour systems and fits a growing segment of the market,” said the company’s production colour marketing manager, Henryk Kraszewski.

The 700 prints at up to 70 pages per minute in colour or mono. Fuji Xerox says it is best suited for photo books, brochures, direct mail pieces, catalogues, calendars and postcards. It prints on coated and uncoated paper with a maximum sheet size of 330 x 488mm and a wide thickness range between 64 and 300 gsm. It also offers automatic two-sided printing up to 220gsm on both coated and uncoated stocks, as well as image quality at 2,400dpi.

The 700 also uses a low-melt EA Toner that prints full colour at high speed with matte finish image quality. Fuji Xerox describes the toner as “environmentally-friendly”, as it requires less energy to manufacture and print.

“The new toner, imaging technology and media handling capabilities, coupled with the ability to load toner while the system is running, deliver image quality and greater productivity than other models in its class,” added Kraszewski.

The 700 is currently available for ordering in Australia and is expected to be ready for installation in November.
