Fuji Xerox launches high res DocuColor 8000AP

It also has a
print resolution of 2400x2400dpi, which Fuji Xerox says is the highest in the
digital industry. Built on the market-proven technology of the DocuColor 8000
platform, the DocuColor 8000AP Digital Press meets high-volume printing
requirements. The DocuColor 8000AP is specially designed to meet the diverse
production needs of print providers in commercial and in-plant environments

Henryk Kraszewski,
Production Colour marketing manager for Fuji Xerox Australia says, "For
instance, customers can choose an All Weight or Single Weight mode to control
the look and feel of output. The All Weight mode sets the press to run at 80ppm
regardless of stock weight or type with the added benefit of a more matte
appearance, whilst Single Weight mode varies the print speed based on the paper
weight, with a glossier output."

The digital colour
press can handle a wide range of media up to 300gsm, including coated and
uncoated papers, transparencies and even synthetic materials to create
high-value, customised applications such as glossy books and magazines,
promotional materials and direct mail, speciality items including magnets and
decals, and durable documents that resist tearing even when wet.

The DocuColor 8000AP features
2400x2400dpi print resolution for sharpness and uniformity – resulting says FXA
in crisp, sharp text and digital screening technology that improves colour
consistency. Like the DocuColor 8000,
the digital press offers tight front-to-back registration of +/- 0.5mm, which nicely
complements output from offset presses.

A standard
two-tray feeder with a paper capacity of 4,000 sheets allows long, single-stock
jobs to run without interruption, whilst a Secondary Feeder Module is available
with multiple pick points that hold up to 2,000 sheets per drawer – extending
the paper capacity to 8,000 sheets and increasing flexibility for running
mixed-stock jobs. A comprehensive array of production-level devices and in-line
finishing options is also available.

"We're committed to making our
leading digital colour presses even better and that's exactly what we've done with
the DocuColor 8000AP," says Kraszewski.

The DocuColor 8000AP Digital Press
is available in Australia now
through Fuji Xerox Australia direct
sales representatives.
