The J75 will be Xerox’s major solution in the smaller sector, and supercedes the successful Xerox 700 Series. The company says many of the new features of the Color J75 Press are there as a result of requests from Australian digital print providers.

The J75 will available in Australia from March 1, with no release date yet given for the C75. Rate print speed of both printers is 75 pages per minute, on the J75 this is on all stocks up to 300gsm.

An optional feeder, collator and finishing binder, which assists in providing a streamlined automated printing environment, is also available with the Color J75 Press.

Nicholas Chin, product marketing manager, Fuji Xerox Australia told Australian Printer, “The Color J75 Press is well suited for commercial printers, quick printers, franchises, companies looking to migrate more work onto digital equipment, and inplant operators.”

Chin says, “The Color J75 Press is available to order now, with installations from March 1. It is replacing the 700 and providing a further upgrade from the 770. Pricing depends on configuration however it is in the sub-$150,000 class of presses.”

The main new feature is the SIQA (Simple Image Quality Adjustments) which allows press operators to make press adjustments that previously would have required a halt in production and a service call.

The machine also features ACQS (Automated Colour Quality Suite) automatic inline spectrophotometer which can look at input/output density or colour variation and quickly correct any discrepancy. Fuji Xerox says this technology delivers automated calibration and profiling for consistency and accuracy.

Fuji Xerox says this product also brings technology from Fuji Xerox’s multifunction product range, allowing it to run software for cost recovery and document management that were previously unavailable on presses of this size.
