Fuji Xerox report unveils emission reduction targets

In the coming year Fuji Xerox Co aims to reduce its group emissions by 772KT and its customer emissions across the Asia Pacific region by 932KT. This requires a one per cent year-on-year reduction in carbon emissions from Australian business operations, according to the company.

Fuji Xerox Australia says the reduction in emissions will be achieved through a carbon management program, and by the sale of energy efficient devices to customers.

Andy Lambert, managing director of Fuji Xerox Australia says, “Increasingly, Fuji Xerox technology and services are designed and managed to improve sustainability performance for its customers, with equipment that features responsible design and energy efficient enhancements, document software and digital technologies that reduce paper wastage.”

Lambert adds, “Australian business leaders today are increasingly committed to corporate responsibility and sustainable practices. Our sustainability report demonstrates the specific steps we are taking to contribute to our customers’ business and environmental objectives.”

Fuji Xerox Australia says the report highlights the efforts to help its customers reduce environmental impact through the adoption of advanced office document products, services and solutions that increase business efficiency and promote environmental sustainability.

Other achievements outlined in the report include:

  • New carbon calculator
  • New environmental scorecard
  • Energy efficient print devices
  • Standardisation of energy-optimised power settings on all devices as default.
