Fujifilm Aust and Fujifilm BI deliver more to customers following integration

Fujifilm Australia and Fujifilm Business Innovation Australia are delivering more integrated services and offerings to customers following their merge.

The combined entity was demonstrating its technologies at PacPrint, where it also showcased to customers the possibilities that it now provides.

Fujifilm Business Innovation Australia general manager Chris Lynch told Sprinter that following the merger, both business units have managed to bring together their customer base and offer them solutions that are end-to-end.

“We found a collaboration since we transitioned together and it’s fantastic that customers really see a resonance in what we’re doing because many of them have a play in traditional, analog offset but are also migrating towards digital,” he said.

“And so, having both Fujifilm Business Innovation Australia and Fujifilm Australia under one umbrella has made life a lot easier for many of these customers.

“For Fujifilm Business Innovation Australia, it has opened up a side of the business that we didn’t really have a play in. Now, following the integration, we have partners who are experts in that space.

“What this allows us to do is address a whole different range of needs for the first time, under one roof, that previously had to go to two different companies.”

Lynch spoke about some of the markets that he sees potential in.

Fujifilm Australia CEO Takeshi Yanase

“Our intent is to support the graphics communications business in whatever direction that takes. And that’s both in the traditional but also in the emerging markets,” he said.

“We can see lots of areas of opportunity opening up in the print business along the lines of labels and packaging. I also think 3D has an area of play, alongside direct or object printing. And that’s not just in the traditional toner base cut sheet boxes but also in continuous form and inkjet.

Lynch also addressed the roadmap that the combined entity will be taking moving forward.

“Fujifilm is at the forefront of developing new products keeping in mind the areas of opportunity. However, innovation is not just about the hardware that sits on your production floor,” he said.

“It’s also about being innovative in terms of the way we address some challenges, in terms of the way we approach our customers, and in terms of what we bring to them in financing, education, support and service.

“Change can be destabilising sets the way you’ve always done things, but it also opens up completely new opportunities that prior to that change you perhaps have never thought about. And under the one umbrella with Fujifilm, I think we’ve got a really a really exciting future.”

Fujifilm Business Innovation Australia managing director Takashi Otani and Fujifilm Australia CEO Takeshi Yanase were also at PacPrint to welcome customers and visitors to their stand.

“I am thrilled to be at PacPrint this year to have the opportunity to connect with our customers and the industry at a face-to-face event. We are proud to be here with our sister company Fujifilm Australia as a united organisation, supporting our customers,” Otani said.

“Since the merger in 2021, we have been working to align both organisations and at PacPrint, we are showcasing our combined portfolio including the Revoria Press PC1120, Acuity Ultra R2, Acuity Prime, ApeosPro C810/C750/C650 Printer and Versant 3100i and 180i Press.”

“We have the most comprehensive suite of solutions. We deliver on strength and competency in the Australian market. It’s great to be able to meet with people in person and I look forward to be able to have the best possible interactions with customers moving forward,” Yanase added.
