Fujifilm shows its strength

Part of that strength comes from the closer ties being developed between itself, Fuji Xerox and Fujifilm Sericol, which were in evidence on the joint stand, particularly through Fujifilm’s XMF workflow solution that ran across all three vendors.

According to Krufczyk XMF workflow products, based on the latest JDF and PDF techologies, can help bring a higher level of control to complex print operations used in producing work for multiple output devices. He says one of Fujifilm’s greatest assets is its knowledge and workflow solutions for colour management.

On the stand it had a solution comprising XMF Rip Proof and Room Proof, Serendipity Black Magic and Veripress Softproofing with Touch Screen Console, outputting to an Epson printer.

Fujifilm’s new partnership Lithotechnics’ Metrix imposition/production planning planning software was also be in evidence, with Metrix Version 3.0. Krufczyk pointed to Fujifilm’s development of processless plates, the violet Pro V and thermal Pro T saying that the company as pioneering the move into environmentally responsible printing.

In other news Fujifilm has just attained Ugra certification for its new 270gsm proofing paper.
