Future Graphics picks up Quick Print for short run opportunities

Stephen Gough, owner of Future Graphics told Australian Printer the acquisition will give Future Graphic’s customers easy access to Xanté’s short run digital solutions.

He says, “We first saw Quick Print 12 months ago and liked what we saw, in February I was looking around for something to add to my business and Quick Print Technologies became available. We liked the way it was being run but thought maybe we could run it even better.

“So far we have been happy with the purchase and we are now beginning to introduce the Quick Print products to our Future Graphic customers.”

While there are plans to fully integrate the two businesses in the future, Gough says for now Quick Print and Future Graphics will continue to be run as separate companies albeit out of the same office in Melbourne, and with a combined distribution facility in Sydney.

Quick Print Technologies’ range of Xanté hardware includes the Ilumina Digital Color Press, lumina Digital Envelope Press and Z-7 PlateMaker5.

According to Quick Print, the Ilumina Digital Color Press handles a wide range of paper weights from 75 gsm to 427 gsm and is designed for a range of short-run jobs including four-color business cards, postcards, direct mail pieces, brochures and in-store signage.

The company adds that the Ilumina Digital Envelope Press prints up to 60 full colour DL envelopes per minute and its 750 piece input capacity gives users the high volume necessary for production work.

Moreover, incorporating Z-Dot screening, the PlateMaker5 delivers the cleanest screens possible from an electrophotographic process, according to Quick Print.
