Graduate awards combine with PICAs

The LIA is combining its biennial LIA National Graduate of the Year Awards with the celebrations for the Queensland PICAs.

Ten state graduate winners are vying for the $15,000 scholarship prize, including Chloe Rudd from Print DNA in regional SA, Sarah Kennedy from Colorcorp in QLD, Laura Burgett from Spatial Services in NSW, and Jayd Kiely from APN Print in NSW.

The Awards for both the PICAs and the Graduates will be held at the Pullman Hotel in the Brisbane CBD, on Friday November 10.

The LIA says, “This award ceremony brings together the best young talent our industry has to offer from all around Australia. We would encourage you to come along and help us show these wonderful young people how much we think of their achievements and support them on their path to bigger and better things in this industry we love.”

The event will be part of the Queensland PICAs, in which the best print work in the State will win the opportunity to the compete at the National Print Awards in May 2018.

A spokesman for LIA says, “The Queensland Print Industry Craftsmanship Awards is always a great night to catch up and network so do not miss the opportunity. The Pullman Hotel is right in the centre of Brisbane and never fails to provide an excellent night for all attendees.”

All PICA winning entries are automatically forwarded to the National Print Awards, which will be held next May.
