Heidelberg has heady drupa

Heidelberg New Zealand‚s general manager Noel Priestley says that the level of interest from New Zealanders in Heidelberg’s new developments has been great.

He says that the big drawcard has been Prinect, Heidelberg’s workflow software: “This is the JDF drupa and, from our point of view, it’s here, it’s now and the uptake has been great.

“Some customers already have great solutions from a hardware point of view, but we’ve been able to show them the final link to take their business to the JDF level.”

There have been many talking points in the Heidelberg halls besides Prinect however. Heidelberg’s innovations on press have seen estimated productivity increases of around 20-30 per cent since the last drupa. In the finishing area, automation has added considerable efficiency to the process. It has all added up to plenty of interest in New Zealand.

“I’m really pleased with the level of support from New Zealand customers,” Priestley says. “We came with a goal in mind and we’ve exceeded it.”
