HP and Currie Group Truck a hit at RMIT open day

Robert Black, director, RMIT International Centre of Graphic Technology says, “It was absolutely great to have the truck onsite for our Open Day. When the young people came on board you could see their eyes light up as they realised the level of sophistication in today’s world of digital printing.”

HP and Currie Group made the trip to Melbourne to participate in the open day taking the truck out of its three month tour of Queensland, NSW and Victoria to provide RMIT with an opportunity to introduce tomorrow’s printers to the latest in digital print technology.

On board the HP Indigo 3050, the HP Designjet Z6100 and Z2100 large format printers were put through their paces. A range of graphic communication pieces were output during the course of the day including design work by RMIT’s graduates demonstrating the versatility of graphic arts courses available to those interested in a career in print.

The HP Currie Digital Print Truck will be back on the road next week picking up the NSW leg of the tour before concluding in Bendigo, Victoria, September 22.
