Entries for the Contest close on August 10, with awards being handed out in thirteen categories, including flexible packaging, household, and shrink sleeves.

Winners will be announced on September 24 at a ceremony during Labelexpo Europe 2009, with all entries for the awards to be showcased on the HP Indigo stand at the four-day show in Brussels.

Last year, New Zealand company Hally Labels won the Best of Show Benny Landa Award for its winning entry in the ‘Food’ category.

HP launched the awards in 2007 “to promote quality and ingenuity in the digital label and package printing market”.

“Entries represent the distinctiveness of their company, prove their progressive printing capabilities and showcase an impressive execution of a digital production challenge,” the company said in a statement.
