Hillberg says Immij is a great business with a strong culture and future and he will continue to build on the company’s success. “Immij has an excellent reputation for quality and service, and is also an employer of choice within the industry,” he says. “The company’s recent growth has been phenomenal. I will focus on continuing the good work that Immij has achieved with a focus on growth in its specialist areas.” Smithe says he is proud to have led the company during the past eight years. “I am excited about my new role which will enable me to concentrate on the operations of our business, which I am very passionate about,” he says. “I wish Scott the best with his exciting new opportunity.” Alistair Hill, Immij chairman, says the company was delighted to have recruited Hillberg. Hill says, “Scott will be a great asset for our company, and we are looking forward to him being part of our team. “Michael has done an extraordinary job as managing director, leading the company from its inception in 2008 – on the eve of the global financial crisis – to its market leading position today. “Our success has been achieved mainly through organic growth during a tough period for the industry, when many businesses have declined or failed. We are now ready to also consider acquisition opportunities with consolidation continuing to be a high priority for the industry.” Immij commenced operations in early 2008 as a greenfield start-up with no sales and today has offices and manufacturing plants in both Melbourne and Sydney employing 150 staff. The company provides services in corporate printing, management, and warehouse solutions, along with niche areas such as UV printing, horticultural solutions, and direct marketing products.
