iMSGroup installs Kodak Flexcel NX

Mark Mahoney, managing director iMSGroup says “Adding the Kodak Flexcel NX technology to the company’s Trueplate brand sits with the IMS culture of working at the leading edge, and will enable us to close the supply chain loop for our customers by bringing all print tooling Trueplate services in-house.”

The iMSGroup specialises in brand creative and colour management, and is known for its innovation and account service. In operation for more than 16 years, the company employs 50 staff in Australia with its head office in Baulkham Hills, Sydney and satellite offices around the world.

Working predominantly with clients in the FMCG space where competition is fierce and the need to stand out on-shelf is paramount to success, iMSGroup provides E2E (end-2-end) solutions that incorporate creative solutions, artwork engineering, Trueproofs, Truepacks, online artwork approval and project management systems, tooling Trueplate and print/packaging/display services.

Mahoney, a former printer is excited about the purchase, “With Flexcel it is possible to achieve the same if not higher colour density with fewer colours than the gravure process. In this global market that we work in today there is even greater emphasis on brand management and consistency in brand presentation.

“Multinational companies no longer accept that their packaging may vary across markets. Ensuring consistent colour across all print processes and packaging substrates is becoming a standard and the Kodak technology will definitely give us greater control to meet these demands”
