Sydney and Melbourne enjoyed the largest turnouts, while the Brisbane event had significant growth, with numbers increasing by 25% to more than 80 people.

Queensland Women in Print State patron Susan Heaney said she was surprised and pleased with the cross section of attendees at the Brisbane evening.

"The event is really growing up here and there was a real cross section of people," she said.

"There were teachers from QUT, art school lecturers, designers, digital print owners, offset printers, and even some people from the insurance industry.

"This all means greater networking and mentoring opportunities for attendees."

The Women in Print evenings included "icebreaking" games and after-dinner speaker Stacey Currie.

CPI Group marketing communications manager Franca Balsamo attended the Sydney evening and said she was drawn back for the same reasons she goes every year.

"The Women in Print nights are the one night a year where you get to share stories and network with other industry women in an environment without men!

"It is great to come back each year and see how things are heading with the women you have met in previous years."
