KD Print Group moves to processless CTP

Melbourne-based KD Print Group has upgraded to a Cron H Series multi-cassette unit, with processless plate technology through supplier AGS.

It is part of a series of investments from KD Print Group to become more environmentally sustainable. The company also installed solar panels on its roof to reaping the benefits of solar power, completing most of its printing during the day.

It also monitors its energy use, and has upgraded to energy-efficient equipment, while creating an aggressive power-saving plan.

Chris Mullins and Peter Stilburn, directors, KD Print Group, says, “Our company is focused on energy and resource saving printing supplies.

“AGS have provided us with printing supplies that have less impact on the environment, such as vegetable-based inks, chemical free plates.”

AGS says KD Print Group was the first company in Australia to take the leap to Chinese-manufactured CTP devices, installings its first Cron eight years ago.

KD Print Group specialises in corporate printing, direct printing and trade printing, and was born in 2014 from the merger of KD Printing and Print Group Australia.
