Kiel innovates plastic for pallets

Mark Medew, production and sales manager at Kiel, says, “We have the largest range of plastic pallets in the southern hemisphere and we continue to look for innovative ways to help our clients materials handling with a focus on pallets, bins, and ancillary products.

Our latest product is a collapsible tote box. When empty, the tote box collapses down for economical return freight. The bins lock when stacked full or empty. With the most technically advanced moulding equipment in the world, we have grown the custom moulding division of our business to one of the most prominent moulders in the industry.”

The company has ISO9001:2008 certification compliance. Medew says, “We have an ongoing commitment towards producing quality products and customer service. We have developed our own style of affordable tooling. Together with our design service and in house mould making facilities, we offer competitive pricing. Our customers include Amcor and Visy and offset print companies. Our plastic pallets are made from food and pharmaceutical grade plastics. Our clients need a clean environment so our products are mainly in house pallets where they need to be clean.

“A lot of label companies use plastic pallets. For instance, we have roll pallets so the rolls don’t fall off and damage the labels.”
