Kodak says new inkjet tech will boost ROI for personalised direct mail

The CMYK version of the Prosper S20 imprinting system follows a monochrome model released earlier this year.

The full-colour head run at 610 metres per minute and is designed to operate inline with web offset presses to produce variable-data work.

Steve Ford (pictured), sales and strategic product groups director for Kodak, said: “The Kodak Prosper S20 imprinting system with CMYK is a tremendous way to increase response rates and return on marketing investment in direct marketing applications while utilising a legacy offset infrastructure.

“Kodak is the only company currently capable of delivering this high-value inline solution,” he added.

Kodak has also launched a new Versamark, which will be available in both full-colour and black and white, expanding the product range to 14 models.

The latest-generation machines offers a smaller footprint than previous models, with a single-engine duplex design that can be upgraded.

According to Kodak, the Versamark range is targeted at transactional, direct mail and short-run newspapers applications.

“These devices take our proven technology and make it even better with higher image quality, enhanced features, smaller footprint and a focus on ensuring an easy upgrade path,” added Ford.

“The market called for high-speed colour inkjet that delivers higher performance in less space and we responded with smaller, more productive and reliable systems that fit any business and grow with the customer.”
