Komori receives InterTech Award for H-UV Technology

Kosh Miyao, president of Komori America says, “Komori has invested significant R&D effort in ensuring that H-UV satisfies all the requirements of the printing industry – efficiency, high quality and fast job cycle times.

“With more than 100 systems either installed or on order worldwide, we are confident that H-UV is a serious game-changer in the printing industry and we are quite honored to receive the InterTech Technology Award.”

According to Komori, with juts one lamp mounted in the delivery, the system offers high print quality and reliability, as well as excellent economics and eco-friendly performance.

The company continues that significant benefits include low heat to the stock; reduced power usage; faster makeready times; superior dot reproduction and ink gloss; powder free application and dramatic special effects as well a cross platform compatibility with UV and conventional inks and coatings.

With H-UV, sheets can go from the press directly to bindery, significantly improving efficiency and job turnaround times to deliver offset on demand, according to Komori.

The system also operates in the non-ozone wavelength of the energy curing spectrum, making it an eco-friendly alternative and eliminating the need for roof venting.
