Komori reveals big drupa plans

Offset press giant Komori will showcase its new B2 Impremia S29 inkjet, its latest post-press and cloud solutions and the Landa Nanographic B1 Impremia S40 sheetfed printer at drupa this year.

Komori is using drupa to reveal to customers its digital solutions and heavy plans for growth and business restructure for the next three years. The company says it is invested in ongoing ‘structural transformation’ and is broadening its portfolio linking offset with digital.

At drupa Komori will exhibit its new B2 Impremia IS29 inkjet press which it says is ideal for commercial and packaging printing, and prints at 3000 sph. It will also show the B1 sheetfed perfecting Nanographic Impremia S440 uses NanoInk colourants in a blend of Landa and Komori technology, capable of printing 6,500 sph.

Komori plans to unveil its new Lithrone G29 29-inch offset printing press which it says surpasses existing digital printing systems and is equipped with productivity parameters of 18,000 sph. The press is also armed with the new H-UV curing system.

The press manufacturer, which intends to reinvent itself into a print engineering service provider (PESP) says it has installed over 600 H-UV equipped systems globally, and 80 per cent of presses in its Australian market have the H-UV drying system.

As part of its fully integrated business evolution as a PESP Komori will also exhibit the Apressia CT 137 cutter, which it will enact live demonstrations with at its stall in drupa.

Under its umbrella theme Open New Pages Komori is set to communicate to customers its business transformation plan to offer offset, digital, printed electronics, materials and auxiliary equipment. It will also launch its new cloud based system KP-Connect along with a suite of other ICT based solutions.

The Komori booth will be in Hall 15 DO4 at the drupa fairground.
