Kongsberg has Visual Impact

Targeted at the signs and POP display markets, the Kongsberg XL20, the smallest in the XL range, will be operating live during the show.

The XL’s rock-solid construction is an ideal platform to operate as a real production machine. The MultiCUT is specially designed to endure small-run production duty-cycles of the most demanding materials.

The MultiCUT comes with two conventional tool stations configurable with all the standard XL tool inserts and in addition a high-power milling spindle capable of handling a wide range of rigid materials. This MultiCUT router spindle features a true 1kW milling power. The rotational speed of the spindle is adjustable all the way up to 60,000 RPM, which allows milling, contour cutting, routing, drilling and engraving directly from CAD or graphics designs.

Esko-Graphics will also be demonstrating ArtiosCAD, the popular structural design software for packaging on the stand. The application comes with dedicated tools specially designed for users for structural design, product development, virtual prototyping and manufacturing of boxes and POP displays. The ArtiosCAD Design module is fully capable to provide efficient output to the MultiCUT milling tool.

Visual Impact/Image Expo runs from September 1 – 3 at the Convention Centre, Darling Harbour.
