Konica Minolta backs Qld PICAs

Konica Minolta Brisbane has been revealed as the gold-level sponsor for the 2016 Queensland Printing Industries Craftsmanship Awards (PICAs) and Legends Gala Dinner which take place on Friday, November 4.

Hosted by the Printing Industries Association of Australia (PIAA), the PICAs recognise the achievement of excellence in the industry and will open this year with a display of the PICA entries for guests of the awards to view.

The PICA ceremony kicks off at 5pm, followed by the Legends Gala Dinner, which celebrates industry identities who have made an impact throughout the year.

On the night, the PIAA will also be awarding a highly-contributing female member of the print industry as part of the Legends Gala Dinner.

Konica Minolta Brisbane state manager Scott Jackson says the company is proud to back a supportive industry.

“Konica Minolta staff members will be in attendance during the day to talk with students and visitors about printing trends and share some of our printing capabilities. Konica Minolta is always looking for ways to partner with the printing industry, and we look forward to a fun, positive evening with all of those involved,” he says.

“The print industry has, and will continue to be, a key market for Konica Minolta. We continually strive to provide technology and support that meets the needs of this important industry, and helps take it into the future,” he continues.

“The PICAs are a great way to get behind the industry. This event, including its support of Young Care as a charity partner, fit perfectly with Konica Minolta’s commitment to contributing to society.”

PIAA CEO Andrew Macaulay adds, “The PICAs play a significant role in identifying quality and innovation in print. Innovation stems from collaboration between printers and equipment suppliers meeting customer demands for new ideas and excellent quality.”
