Konica Minolta Bizhubs get “top marks” for de-inking

Europe-based de-inking body Ingede (International De-inking Industry Association) carried out numerous lab assessments on print-outs from multiple vendors and digital presses.

Konica Minolta said the print-outs passed rigorous tests with top marks and that the secret of its success was due to its Simitri HD colour polymerised toner.

David Procter, national manager of production printing at Konica Minolta Australia, said: “We are honoured to have achieved these top results from Ingede.

“This is evidence of Konica Minolta’s continued commitment to the environment, which is to reduce the environmental impact of its products and services over their entire life cycle, placing particular emphasis on preventing global warming and supporting a recycling-oriented society,” added Procter.

Ingede, which represents major paper manufacturers in Europe recently signed a deal with DPDA on joint deinking research.
