According
to Konica Minolta the bizhub PRO C5500 is packed with innovative colour
printing technologies, including the Screen-Enhancing Active Digital Process, a
new technology that ensures a clearly improved overall image quality with a
smoother background.
Konica
Minolta's new ITbit (Image Tag bit) method produces enhanced halftone printing
for more precise text and lines. Precise image quality and efficiency at high
print speeds is delivered by the dual-beam laser unit and the embedded Fiery
controller technology, delivering the colour precision and consistency crucial
to large print runs.
The
Simitri HD polymerised toner is also a key factor in
improved image quality. Its miniscule and uniformly shaped toner particles
produce fine line definition as reliably as the deepest solid-fill black. Its
relatively low melting temperature is a further benefit, and one of the
features that enables it to deal with a large range of print media.

The
bizhub PRO C5500 produces 55 pages a minute in colour or black-and-white, if
larger formats are required, for instance in A3, it still manages 33
impressions per minute. Thanks to its speedy printing and a maximum tray
capacity of 4,250 sheets, the bizhub PRO C5500 also efficiently handles both
serial print orders and continuous jobs.
It
can handle media from A5 size to A3+, and weights from 64 to 256gsm in standard
operation. Via an optional paper tray or bypass tray, media up 300gsm can also
be processed. Coated paper, card or digital offset stock present no problem:
all are fed through easily and reliably.
The
bizhub PRO C5500 is also available with a range of professional finishing
options ensuring an automated production and fast throughput, including
folding, punching and stapling.
