Konica Minolta releases bizhub PRO 1200 series

Targeted at on demand commercial printers and central reprographic departments (CRDs), the 1200 and 1051 models print at speeds of up to 120 and 105 images per minute respectively. Both presses also print on media from 40 to 350gsm at a resolution of up to 1200dpi.

“With this single system we have succeeded in combining all of the success factors that lay the groundwork for sustainable economic activities, such as reliability, speed, efficiency, flexibility and productivity,” said Brett Palmer, national product manager for production printing at Konica Minolta Business Solutions. “Standing out of the crowd, the bizhub PRO 1200 series offers highest quality and an enormous range of finishers for more than 40 system configurations.”

The series offers a range of finishing options, including a GBC smart punching unit, the GP-501.

“Supporting all common punching schemes for offline spiral bind finishing, the unit provides users with high performance multi-hole punching of sheets without affecting system speed,” the company claimed in a statement.

The series also features the combination of a booklet-making unit, a perfect binding unit, and a staple finisher.
