Kornit Digital to host sustainable fashion event

Sustainable, on-demand, digital textile production technologies company Kornit Digital will present an exclusive online event, Fashion Without Limits, on Thursday November 4.

Offering presentations from Kornit executives and technology specialists, the virtual demonstration of end-to-end digital production capabilities, a fashion show exhibiting designer pieces produced entirely via digital means, and interactive panel discussions, this event aims to address proven strategies for implementing profitable, on-demand production models that deliver sustainability without compromising quality or design versatility.

In addition to several finished apparel pieces first unveiled at Kornit Fashion Week Tel Aviv, the event will showcase sustainably-produced ready-to-wear apparel and yoga wear created by local designer Yukiko the Witch, scarves created by designer Shoko Orui, and Israeli designs on fashionable kimonos, as well as t-shirts imprinted via Kornit’s innovative Atlas MAX system for mass customisation.

It will also address the potential of Kornit’s MAX production technology, which simulates screen printing, vinyl heat transfer, dye sublimation, embroidery, and high-density/3D decoration effects using the same single-step, pigment-based, waterless production capabilities as Kornit’s direct-to-garment print process.

Speakers at the event will include Kornit CEO Ronen Samuel, Kornit Digital Asia-Pacific president Ilan Elad, and Kornit Japan general manager Hisashi Tada, as well as OpenFactory CEO Kenji Horie and Debs Corporation CEO Hani Debs.

Debs Corporation is currently installing a Kornit Presto system as part of a joint demonstration center with Kornit Digital – the first such system for digital direct-to-fabric production in Japan – and supplying many of the customised fabrics for the designer apparel presented in this event.

Viewers will also learn details of the KornitX workflow ecosystem for global fulfilment on demand and how print service providers, brands, and retailers of any scale can leverage sustainable production on demand to create new opportunities to thrive and grow regardless of long-term market conditions or disruptions.

“In recent years, and especially since the pandemic economy hit, the marketplace has been driven by e-commerce, and successful suppliers and brands meet their consumers’ needs by cutting through traditional supply chain complications and meeting those buyers where they are – not only physical proximity, but also creatively, and by aligning with their values,” Elad said.

“The beauty of digitised production is that it answers those trends, while also giving producers a less wasteful, more cost-effective process, with opportunities to create new profit channels.

“Those who join us for this program will be empowered with the insights they need to safeguard their business against unforeseen challenges, expand their product offerings, and give their customers the quality and responsible production practices they demand.”

Kornit Digital is locally distributed by Kissel + Wolf Australia.
