Kwik Kopy Bondi wins excellence award

Kwik Kopy Bondi Junction has won the Excellence in Business Ethics Award NSW Business Chamber 2015 for the south east Sydney region. The Excellence in Business Ethics award recognises an outstanding company that has been able to achieve success while acting in an ethically responsible way. Emmanuel Constantinou, owner of Kwik Kopy Bondi Junction, which was also a finalist in the Excellence in Small Business Award, says the award was only made possible because of his team of dedicated staff.

Constantinou says, “When I took over the business, I implemented a profit share scheme, which means that each month a small portion of the company profit is divided with the team, recognising their hard work. He says this makes the employees hungry for more high quality work with speed and efficiency. He says, “It also means the staff approach and treat the business like their own.” “We are committed to empowering our staff to make decisions for our business guided by our ethical business values. We want their skills and experience to improve and evolve, and we respect their input at all times,” Constantinou says. “This win validates my belief in approaching challenges together and recognising hard work.” Just two years ago, the former owner of Kwik Kopy Bondi Junction called in the liquidators, which presented Constantinou with the opportunity to buy the ailing business. David Bell, Kwik Kopy Australia managing director, told Australian Printer that Constantinou is an example of how someone can come in and change the fortunes of a business around. Bell says, “I suggest all the business owners should look at Kwik Kopy Bondi Junction and get tips from it. The owner knows how important is it to get involved in the community and build on those relationships.

“He is doing everything we recommend business owners should do.” Constantinou says being in the print industry for more than 28-years has thought him a few things. “For any business to be successful they need to treat their employees well and provide excellent service to anyone that walks in,” he says. “We at Kwik Kopy Bondi Junction have passion for the print industry. That is what sets up apart from our competitors. “A lot of people get into business but lack that passion that drives and motivates them. I am very involved in the business community as well. I am the treasurer of the Bondi and Districts Chamber of Commerce. “And I am out and about building relationships and ensuring that those relationships are continuously growing.
