Labelhouse invests in new Indigo label press

Mark Fisher, general manager, Labelhouse told Australian Printer, “Investing in the new HP Indigo WS6600 label press is a step in the direction the printing industry is going, and we need to keep up with the market. Digital is a much needed process these days.”

Fisher says, “The HP Indigo WS6600 will be used to produce labels, films, patches and in-mould labelling. It has real quality and the less set up times and also less wastage.”

“The finishing equipment is by French manufacturer Smag, which has some great speeds and allows us to do screen, embossing and stamp foiling,” concludes Fisher.

The Melbourne business is part of the Assta Group. Assta Label House was founded in 1947 by Syd Staas, and in the mid seventies was the first company in the world to produce a self-adhesive wine label for automatic application to bottles.
