Managing director of Labelmakers, Paul O’Sullivan, declined to comment on what exactly the Alprinta would be producing, but did say that the press was in the 740mm format, it was the first of its kind in Australia, and that “it is significant for this market”.

Managing director of Muller Martini Australia, Livio Barbagallo, told ProPrint, “This is a fantastic success for us, to provide a press like this in the labelling market. It’s important for us to have a great partner such as Labelmakers in the label sector, and as a reference site. It gives us the confidence to go deeper into that market in Australia.”

Mr O’Sullivan expects the press to be installed in February next year, and it should be operational about six weeks later.
