The October edition of ProPrint is out now and includes the 100 nominees for the 2019 Power 50, as nominated by you our valued readers, plus an indepth look at the wide product offering of Australian owned print and graphic communications supplier, Starleaton, plus a business profile on Sydney digital printer, Carbon8.
Congratulations to all the Power 50 nominees and we wish you good luck in this year’s awards. We look forward to announcing the 2019 ProPrint Power 50 and the Emerging 50 at a special function in Sydney on November 20 with all nominees invited to attend.
The Emerging 50 is a new category that has been added this year to recognise the contribution of those with ideally five years or less experience in the printing industry. A full list of the Emerging 50 will also published in the December edition of ProPrint, alongside the Power 50.
This edition’s Star Business is Sydney’s Carbon8 with the profile charting the rise of this company from humble beginnings in inner Sydney to a new, much larger factory space in Sydney’s Marrickville and the addition of a HP Indigo 12000 Digital Press.
The other company featured is wholly Australian-owned print and graphics consumables and hardware supplier, Starleaton.
Starleaton occupied the largest stand at PrintEx19 in August and came up with a creative ‘what’s in the box?’ themed stand to show the wide variety of consumables and hardware it distributes in Australia and New Zealand. ProPrint’s technology writer, Peter Kohn, has also worked hard to pull together an indepth technology feature on the latest in prepress, plates and platesetting in his latest focus.
The edition also includes a PrintEx19 review of some of the key stand highlights. There are also a number of pages dedicated to the happenings in print including the 36th National Print Awards, Women in Print, Currie Group’s 70th anniversary and the Real Media Awards.
