It will track exact time and costs across different plants of required and automatically update the scheduling as new data is received. Mitchell says the industry is becoming more savvy about ganging jobs, which is the reason for the new automated system to ensure productivity is optimised, with for instance Metrics working out the optimal imposition.

It includes browser-based key production indicator (KPI) reporting that ties the data from individual departments into full dashboards that capture real time business performance, to support real time decision making. Prism can create an integrated workflow through JDF connectivity to Kodak’s Prinergy, Agfa’s Apogee, Esko’s Backstage, and others, combining this with the sharing of JDF job tickets with press manufacturers.
