Latest version ECRM RIP launched

The ECRM RIP v7.0 is powered by the latest Harlequin Genesis RIP technology, providing a workflow solution for a wide variety of commercial printing and publishing applications.

ECRM vice president Mark Givens says this is the most advanced RIP solution yet, and it can be purchased with new imaging devices or as an upgrade to existing systems.

“With installations numbering in the thousands worldwide, our customers like its robust design, unbeatable reliability and simple operation,” says Givens.

Additional features to the RIP v7.0 include: PDF 1.5 native compatibility, a New Font Emulation feature, a New Simple Imposition option, performance improvements with trapping memory management, JDF Enabler version 2.0 now supports the JDF v1.2 specification, and improved colour management adds support for N-colour and grey ICC v4.0 profiles.

“With the latest RIP upgrade, our existing users will see improvements in both image quality and productivity,” confirms Givens. “In order to offer the best value possible on the market today, we have aggressively priced the RIP and its options, enabling all users to benefit from its state-of-the-art technology.”

With the new package, the ECRM Filmsetter RIP continues to support ECRM’s buffered, on-line filmsetters, including the Stingray and Marlin, as well as both the Mako and VR series models.
