Lilyfield sold to German packager

The family owned Lilyfield Group comprises three specialist companies – The Creative Type, Lilyfield Printing and The Perfect Book Binding Company – working together, under one roof in Sydney’s Regents Park.

Reg Hammond, managing director of Lilyfield and well known industry identity – who founded the company 30 years ago in 1979 following a purchase of a bankrupt business – will be departing the printing industry as well as Lilyfield following the acquisition.

Lillyfield has been a pioneering printer in many ways, in 1994 it bought the country’s first Heidelberg 102 six colour, and three years later bought the first 4/4 perfector in NSW, opening the door to virtually every B1 printer in Sydney and Melbourne to install the long perfectors over the following decade.
