LithoTechnics signs worldwide distribution agreement

Under the agreement, SCREEN will sell and support the Metrix product line on Mac OS X and Windows platforms to complement Trueflow SE, SCREEN’s JDF-compliant PDF workflow system.

LithoTechnics has also developed a Chinese version of Metrix, which SCREEN will debut at the upcoming All In Print show in Shanghai.

“SCREEN is dedicated to developing efficient, easy-to-use and open systems,” said SCREEN president Setsuo Ohara. “Metrix fits extremely well into our workflow model, offering our customers an automated job planning and imposition module that translates directly into higher productivity and profitability.”

LithoTechnics president and founder Rohan Holt (pictured) said he was “very excited” by the agreement and his company’s entry into the Chinese market.

“SCREEN’s goal for Trueflownet – the integration of SCREEN software with as wide a range of third-party products as possible – is right in line with the guiding principles behind JDF, which is moving our industry closer to true automation and rational print manufacturing,” said Holt.
